My ankle was severely injured in a motorcycle accident. The insurance company (Compulsory Third Party) referred me to Occupational Therapy Network for rehabilitation. My OT Network case manager helped to arrange treatment, domestic assistance, footwear and a hand rail at the front of my home.
I wasn’t sure what to expect at first but I found that my OT was very approachable and committed to my recovery. She listened to me, discussed my needs with me and helped me understand what was available to me through CTP rehabilitation.
Since the accident, I’ve worked hard to get better. My ankle’s not the same as it was before the accident but I’ve come a long way and am now back at work.
My OT/case manager helped me during my rehabilitation getting back on my feet. Together we worked on the same goals and made sure that I made as much progress as possible.

AAMI have always found OT Network consultants to have an excellent grasp of the rehabilitation issues impacting on CTP insurers and the clients who have suffered a personal injury through this scheme. Our working relationship has been characterised by high quality communication skills, professional expertise and a willingness to continually seek opportunities for continuous improvement in service provision. They do not lose sight of achieving the desired outcome of improving a client’s quality of life.

Survey results demonstrate that service users highly value factors such as the level of communication, advice, help, support and encouragement provided by OT Network.
OT Network consultants conducted 35 risk assessments as well as manual handling training at our residential facility for persons with high level spinal injuries. I was impressed by their professionalism and their expertise and knowledge of manual handling. Their dynamic approach to training and their ability to establish rapport with staff and residents assisted us in achieving the outcome we wanted.

Uniting Care Supported Living frequently use OT Network for their case management services. Case management is very pleased with services rendered not just because of the professional work submitted but also the promptness and commitment relayed in a friendly & courteous manner. A feature that case managers have commented about is the care and consideration shown towards clients, by OT Network occupational therapists. It is because of these reasons that UCSL will continue to use the service.

Independence, capability, physical and emotional confidence, familiarity of daily routine, social life, future plans – all can be lost in an instant. Such was my experience after having a car accident.
Occupational Therapy Network provided, ideas, solutions, confidence, life building skills and hope for the future.
My Occupational Therapy Network (OTN) therapist was exceptional. She helped me regain my dignity through starting this journey to independence.
My OTN therapist helped me to become involved in life beyond my disability. She provided guidance and ideas for education, socialisation and independence. Ideas regarding transport and accessibility to one’s community were discussed and supported.
The knowledge, skills and expertise provided have been astounding. The range of ideas presented to me gave me hope for a better future. Each decision made on my behalf was individually based. Great care and sensitivity was shown towards myself and my family.
None of this would have been possible without the expert communication skills provided my OTN therapist. At a time when one is very sensitive and confidence low – their personal approach is vital for a successful outcome.
The guidance of my OT with her wonderful lateral thinking helped me to get where I am today, in fact I couldn’t have done it without her.
It’s been hard work, had its moments, but the perseverance and unending support and professionalism of my OT has brought my life back to fruition.
