Belinda graduated from the University of Sydney in 1997 and has since gained very broad experience in paediatric, adolescent and adult clinical settings. Belinda worked for a period of 8 years in two of Sydney’s largest tertiary hospitals (adult and paediatric) where she developed extensive knowledge and skills in both physical rehabilitation and brain injury including cognitive assessment, fabrication of hand splints, wheelchair and equipment prescription, home modifications, activity of daily living assessments. She has also developed expertise in the assessment and management of pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, stress-related illnesses, chronic illness, post-surgical symptoms, arthritis and palliative care.
Belinda’s holistic approach focuses on the goals of the client, family and rehabilitation team and enabling the client to return to occupational roles, such as work, education and functional independence.
Belinda has a passion for adolescent health issues and also a strong commitment to improving the mental health of those affected by injury or illness.
In her role with Occupational Therapy Network, Belinda provides opinion in medico-legal matters where her thorough analysis, clinical reasoning and report-writing skills are well-regarded. She has expert witness experience and is active in continuing education.
