Charlie has over 20 years experience providing Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation Services to clients with musculoskeletal and general medical conditions and people with a work disability. As an occupational therapist and case manager he has worked in social services, community and private occupational rehabilitation settings, gaining experience in provision of activities of daily living and care needs assessment, equipment prescription, environmental modifications, moving and handling risk assessments and intervention, functional assessments, workplace assessments, disability case management and medico-legal reporting.
Over the past decade his work has been predominately in the area of rehabilitation during which time he has developed expert skills in case management, workplace rehabilitation and assisting clients maximise their independence following illness or injury. Charlie is passionate about enabling people to maximise their functional recovery and their participation in pre-injury life roles.
Charlie has also held senior rehabilitation advisory and management positions within the personal injury arena working across various compensation schemes and jurisdictions. In his role with OT Network Charlie provides medico-legal assessments and reports, utilising his depth of experience and his strong analytical skills to provide balanced and sound expert opinion. Charlie is committed to continuing professional education in his relevant practice areas.
