Rosamaria Coster has extensive occupational therapy experience spanning more than three decades providing diverse services to the adult population with needs ranging from acquired brain injury, neurological conditions, congenital conditions, amputees, learning and sensory conditions, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions, ageing, dementia, and palliative care.
Rosa’s key areas of practice include assessment and retraining in functional tasks, prescription of assistive technology; environmental modifications; driving assessment and rehabilitation; and medicolegal assessments.
She has worked in hospitals, community health, occupational rehabilitation services, and private practice. Additionally she is experienced working within workers compensation, motor accident, Medicare, and Department of Veterans’ Affairs schemes. Rosa has been involved with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) trial site in the Hunter since its inception in 2013.
Rosa’s role with OT Network is providing expert opinion for people located in the greater Newcastle, Hunter and Central Coast regions. Rosa’s approach which features sound analysis of pertinent issues and well-reasoned recommendations is reflected in the clarity and quality of her reports.
