Elizabeth Emmett qualified as an Occupational Therapist from the University of Western Sydney in 2000. Since then, Elizabeth has worked extensively in the field of injury management developing expertise in a wide range of services including, domestic needs, functional and workplace assessments, injury prevention, ADL training, and the complex case management of clients under the WorkCover, CTP and ComCare schemes.
Whilst working in the United Kingdom for a two year period, Elizabeth was involved in both the acute care and rehabilitation of the elderly and people with physical disabilities. During this time Elizabeth gained further clinical experience in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and home assessments, the prescription of adaptive equipment, and both minor and major home modifications.
Her varied clinical background in occupational rehabilitation, hospital and community-based rehabilitation is an asset in her role with Occupational Therapy Network. Elizabeth takes pride in achieving positive outcomes, adapting her approach to suit each client to implement cost-effective goal-directed programmes. Combined with experience in management and training, Elizabeth is able to understand the needs of various parties and communicate with a range of stakeholders to achieve results.
In 2007 Elizabeth completed a post-graduate certificate in driving assessment rehabilitation through the University of Sydney.
Elizabeth is an active member of the Illawarra Ergonomist Group and is committed to injury prevention as well as injury management.
