Member of OT Australia
Victoria qualified as an Occupational Therapist from the University of Sydney in 1998. She is registered as an Occupational Therapist in Australia and the United Kingdom. Victoria's professional experience lies in a variety of clinical rehabilitation settings, including orthopaedics and neurological impairments, as well as palliative care. From 2000 and 2003, Victoria worked as a community occupational therapist with clients of all ages, with substantial and permanent physical disability. This provided an opportunity to develop a comprehensive knowledge of cost-effective rehabilitation, equipment prescription and environmental modifications, in order to optimise an individual's functioning. Since 2003, Victoria has managed the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents, within the guidelines set by the Motor Accidents Authority of New South Wales. Her experience as a rehabilitation advisor with a CTP insurer adds to her understanding of the claims and injury management process.
Victoria successfully completed a Post-graduate Certificate in Driver Education and Rehabilitation in December 2006 at La Trobe University, Melbourne. Victoria is active in continuing education.
Victoria's current work involves case management within the Compulsory Third Party/Motor Accident Scheme, occupational therapy and home assessment.
